Perfectly concise (for the ADS Youth) hook laden punk rock n roll filtered through a wall of hiss and skree. Formed by John Reis of ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT, HOT SNAKES, etc., THE SULTANS are proof that all is needed to make a great punk record are great punk songs. Absolutely no money was spent on this recording.

Pretty good cd. Sounds like Rocket From The Crypt meets The Misfits. I know two of the dudes are in RFTC but not sure if the other guy is. I would definitly check out Rocket From The Crypt before this but if you have and like them then definitly pick this up. All the songs were recorded in 3 takes.

If you ever get the chance to see the film "El Mariachi", you'll know what this record is like. There is no budget to speak of, the recording sounds old and scratchy, and the running time is extremely short. But what "Ghost Ship" has most in common with that movie is the formidable talent of the performers. Right from the beginning you know the Sultans are a band you don't want to mess with. They throw out brain-splitting hooks like nobody's business, and never once stop for air. It's a shame they aren't recognized as one of the best rock bands on the high seas. Make this album the centerpiece of your collection and reap the rewards.
