Dork Rock Cork Rod

Whoa Oh 107

Released on June 1, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The Ergs! go from pop to trash, to jazz back to pop then punk in a matter of seconds without missing a beat. “Dork Rock Cork Rod” is their much anticipated debut full length that blends the musical stylings of Elvis Costello, Green Day, the Descendents, The Minutemen, The Replacements and Black Flag. Pop the disc in and look for the repeat button, then enjoy the rest of the day.

After hearing about The Ergs for so long and never actually hearing them i decided it was time to check it out. They remind me of a really pop influenced Descendents. I can see the appeal of this band and why so many people like them but this just didn't do it for me. I will certainly keep checking out what they have to offer because i could see them putting out an album i'd love.

This is a great album. I listen to it over and over. Reminds me of the 90s descendents. Fast paced punk-pop that never slows down. Just a great album and I can't wait to hear the others.

Easily the best pop punk record in the last couple of years. Smart, catchy and actually talented musicanship make this record an instant classic. Amazing live band that really do their homework in regards to their influences and pushing the boundaries of this genre.

Just buy it. It will make you feel whole again. This c.d. is like being back in a warm, loving, self loathing womb.
