Stockyard Stoics/Filaments

The Special Relationship EP Split

Roots Rock Rebel 3

Released on October 2, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Final recorded offering from two great bands--the UK's ska punk upstarts The Filaments and US political street punks Stockyard Stoics. Three aggressive songs from both bands, covering the topical gamut from the Christian Right to class issues in the punk scene. Comes with a Stoics sticker and mini-zine. No bullshit DIY punk rock.

i love the filaments and never seen this split before so went for it thinking at least if the other band was crap id have one side of brilliant music. turns out stockyard stoics are just as fast. equally as good on vocals and play some bad ass punk rock. every song on this split is a awsome show of what punk should be. i advise anybody that likes the hardcore side of rancid but better fastter and hardder this is for you. its compelled me to go and get more of stockyard stoits music. a well worth getting record.

i picked this up for the filaments side, expecting to be disappoinrted with the stockyard stoics. but there sound is alot better since their first album and its really good. the new filaments songs dont sound like they tried too hard writing them but the live one sounds fuckin awesome!

Stockyard Stoics delivers three amazing songs...too bad it's their last release. The Filaments were alright, but I mainly got this for Stockyard. Comes with a zine from their last tour, as well as band interviews and a sticker. Get it!
