'81-'85 Recordings

Vinehell 14

Released on September 1, 2006

Ribzy was one of the first punk/hardcore bands to emerge from the San Jose area. They appeared on "Not So Quiet On The Western Front" comp LP, and a few other comps. but that was about it even though they recorded enough songs for a couple albums. This CD is a collection of those recordings from 81 - 85, as well as a couple new songs recorded in 2003 for the San Jose Punk Reunion show.

Really good fuckin'shit. Not diluted by Metal, this is Hardcore Punk in it's purest form. California Punk is definitely the best kind. The song "All Cut Up" has to be one of the coolest Punk songs ever. The screaming anger and intensity of the vocals are (I hate to say it cos it sounds fucking stupid)"classic". Anyways, buy this bitch because it's badass. Not every song is a killer but the good ones outnumber the bad ones. 5 stars

Classic south bay punk rock here, the first few songs i already new about. I did'nt know the twins sang with Ribzy in the time. That was a surprize. After listening to the whole thing a couple times i can say the first session and the second session are the best in my opinion. Session 3 is really good too dont get me wrong, i just prefer the first 2, they seem a little more raw.
