All Is Quiet

Counterintelligence 6

Released on August 9, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

THUMBSCREW's debut full length "All is Quiet" pays respect to rock legends U2 in the title and tray card dedication, but when Bono throws this disc in his stereo, he'll probably have a heart attack! Anything but "quiet", this album blends equal parts: noisecore, metalcore, and chaotic hardcore, with breakdowns that would put a smile on the face of Jamey Jasta and HATEBREED Co. Produced by Josh Wardrip (of Suburban Terror Project/Black Spring), mastered by Alan Douches (Sepultura, Shadows Fall), with art and special see-through, waxy vellum paper/metallic ink layout designed by Cory Kilduff (singer of The Rise) for Sons of Nero (Unearth, Hellfest DVD)...this is the self-proclaimed "$11,000 album," and you can certainly see and hear why! For fans of CONVERGE, ED GEIN, NORMA JEAN, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, ZAO, BOTCH, AND EMBODYMENT.

i remember hearing Thumbscrew for the first time years upon years ago (back when www.HXCMP3.com had just started and was being widely used.) immediately, i was blown away. not only was this band amazingly heavy but they took the best from frantic tech metal and bashed it over your head with amazingly memorable songs. everything from the quickly-paced guitars to the intricate drumming back to the coarse screams leading the madness. seriously, if that does not make you want to hear these guys then i am not sure what will. buy this album!
