i have recently got into scared of chaka. i have heard of them before but it took me awhile to really listen to their stuff. and i must say, its a breath of fresh air for me from what seems to be a very stagnant state of punk music. theyve been around for awhile and thats not to say that they are a very unique sounding band. like what the others said, they have that garage rock sound with very snotty singing. its been done by nameless bands all over but lucky for me i really love that. theres just something about sacared of chaka that doesnt get boring. the 70's punk sound sure helps though.

Another awesome piece of music from these guys. I don't know why "garage rock" is only now getting so trendy these days; Scared of Chaka has been putting this stuff out for years and is significantly better than any of these other bands (Hives, Strokes, Vines) that are getting popular now. People need to stop having MTV telling them what to listen to; come to places like Interpunk where real people post real opinions about good music. Thanks for hanging out.

Some of the fastest and best soc to date. It's amazing, but every single song on every album these guys put out is perfect. This band has what many bands lack: the ability to make very memorable and melodic{this band can bust out some of the greatest melodies ever!} songs, with an approach all their own. soc have their roots more in 60's rock like the sonics, and punk rock 'n roll a la turbonegro or even motorhead(though more melodic than both these bands). Hands down, this band is one of the best today, and I know you hear that a lot, but in this case it couldn't be more true. I can honestly recommend every single album (including this one) or seven inch this band has released. By the way my name is tony not karen. peace.
