Exhaustion, Saltwater And Everything In Between

At One 1

Released on March 2, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

For fans of the Used, Saosin, Avenged Sevenfold, AFI, or anyone that appreciates good music. "Exhaustion, Saltwater and Everything In Between" displays an orginality that has been missing in this massive influx of post-harcore banality. It establishes intimacy among the band and the listener. After one listen you're curious, excited, and addicted all at the same time. This enhanced CD packs 8 songs, a music video, lyrics, and a link to the band's website.

This review is coming from a huge Letlive. fan. This is their first release and runs about 40 minutes or so. This album is different from modern letlive. Instead of the hardcore sound that letlive is known for, this is much more metalcore sounding than anything else. There is a lot less singing than the newer stuff, and much more screaming. There is a lot less melody, and a lot more chugging. The vocals on here aren't awful, but Jason has definitely improved over the years. The lineup on this album (apart from Jason on vox) is completely different from fake history, which would elude to why it's so much different musically. As far as song structure goes, it can get very slow and almost boring at times. Jason's lyrics aren't nearly as poetic as they are now, and the album just feels to have less emotion than the other releases. It's by no means bad, just nothing special, but it does show potential and they definetly realized their full potential later on.

So all in all, If your a newcomer to the band, don't pick this album up yet. Instead wait to pick up Fake History, or The Blackest Beautiful, and then move onto this and their second release "Speak Like You Talk"

Some singing, some spoken vocals, some sreaming and riffs without an end. This is a nice screamo record with nothing new, but nevertheless done well. If your into this genre check them out...

I really liked this band and I wasn't sure why. Upon first listen, I thought "Oh, great, just another hardcore band that screams all the time." But, after I listened to the CD a second time I really started to appreciate it. This band is going to bring really awesome things to the hardcore scene. Buy it before they get big and you hate 'em. :)

FUCKING AMAZING! this stuff is the greatest post-hardcore i have ever heard. Think of a mix between coheed and cambria, glassjaw and from autumn to ashes. this is worth all your money, and not a single penny goes to waste. Best tracks are 'comprehension is overrated' and 'october 30th syndrome'.

let live is a local band from my home town of westchester. i have been a fan since they were fubar (r.i.p.). ive seen let live many times and id like to say that they are a great live band. their debut album is an amazing cd, one of the best i've heard in a a while. they remind me of bands such as glassjaw, saosin and the used. they have a truly amazing emo/hardcore thing going. my favorite tracks off the album are, comprehension is overrated, showcase heart, october 30th syndrome, and with a mouth sewn shut. although this is a great cd and i would recommend it to anyone,it still has its flaws. first, there are only 8 songs on it. they are all very unique sounding and technical, but its a quick listen. I understand that its supposed to be short and sweet and that the guys are just starting off their ride into the big time but 8 songs just doesn't cut it in todays music scene because of all the burning of cds and pirating(sry guys). My second complaint is that jasons vocals can sometimes get a bit whiny and off pitch with the rest of the instruments, especially in the 2nd half of the song, heroic suicide. other than these two minor problems, i cannot stress how great of an album this is and i reccomend it to EVERYONE. go westchester woot woot.
