Not what I expected at all. It's an alright CD for the price, but none of the bands on it are all that great. I wouldn't buy the second album.

This comp is pretty good. If you're a fan of bands like NOFX and Nirvana to some lo-fi noise crusty punk to polished pop stuff (so basically if you're open to a lot of music styles) you'll like this CD. The song by The Beeters kicks ass! They sound like NOFX taking over a song The Police might have started writing years ago. Awesome! The Nicoteens' song is short and sweet and pretty funny lyrically. They're inspired by The Ramones and The Queers I think. Track nine is 100% straight-forward heavy hardcore! These guys are the shit. A few tracks on here are indie songs that are kind of strange, but that's cool. I liked track 23. Track 6 sounds like The Pixies. Really good song! The Frankenburies are cool. The guy's voice is gritty and punk/hardcore metal style. The Blindsided song is really good, tight punk/pop. Anyhow, pretty damn good for the money spent. Going to check out the 2nd comp now.

This cd sucks. Not all underground is good, and this underground bits balls. Mostly talentless besides #2. Not recommend for anyone looking for decent punk rock.
