Louder Than Morrissey

(Members Of The Queers)

End 1004-2

Released on October 22, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

For the U.S. version of this LongPlayer, the songs were re-compiled by Christy Brigitte, re-mastered, and released by End as the domestic U.S. release. Even if you own the Euro version of this disc, this version has 4 additional tracks from his out-of-print split with Huntingtons, 2 from a rare 7 inch, a demo version of Eternally(in its original form as 'Melanie'), an 18+ minute radio "interview", sleeve art and design by ice planet design, and it's an enhanced cd with extra photos and audio, and it has an eight-panel insert to top it all off. considering the number of tracks, for the price its a great value.

Some of their best stuff is here! And this U.S. cd pressing has lots more than the (still cool though!) Netherlands release! even though it may be considered a collection cd instead of a real album, it represents a good chance to get new stuff, rare tracks, songs from singles ecc. on a unique piece of plastic. Superspazz, Xanadu and Bowling Betty are the standout tracks for me.

This is a pretty good album. Its not as good as Girltroversy of the split with the Huntingtons, even though some songs on here are from the split cd. "Superspazz" is my fave song on here because it mentions Dr. Frank of MTX.

Another great Darlington album. From the 50's malt-shop vibe on "Gretchen's Gotta Dance," to the classic "Superspazz," you really can't go wrong with Louder Than Morrissey. Darlington's two newest albums (Moron-A-Thon & All The Wrong Moves) are better than this one, but if you're into old school Darlington, this is a great way to get some of the older, hard to find tracks.

I'm a big fan of Darlington, so I really got into this album. However, if you're fairly new to Darlington, I'd say pick up Moron-A-Thon if you're into the newer punk sound, or Girltroversy if you're into the older punk sound. If you have both of those albums already, go ahead and add this one to your collection.

Wonderful Darlington album. I LOVE Darlington, and this is them shooting for the stars once again. Better than other bands, but not the best of the Darlington catalog. Get Girltroversy first. Moronathon is awesome too. Definitely buy this though.

well this darlington cd is acceptable. nothing to pick your pockets clean of pennies for although. but like most cds, it has its ups and downs. this cd has a nice pace to it but some, if not most of the songs get kind of soft. too soft, if your into that emo thing then good for you. well i recommend the huntingtons/darlington split over this. but dont get me wrong this cd is pretty decent to listen to in the car.

Darlington have been releasing incredible CDs for a few years now. They are one of my favorite bands and have been ever since I first heard the Mess CD way back when! You can't go wrong picking up any of the Darlington CDs. I highly suggest picking up all of their releases, however I feel that if you were only going to pick up one of them that this would be the one to definitely add to your collection. This is a solid release from beginning to end. Stand out tracks are "Disneyland", "Gretchen", "Bowling Betty", "Supersnazz" and a cool cover of "Xanadu". This US pressing, of the CD, has more tracks than the import version on Stardumb Records, which makes it a better buy, although the Stardumb version has 3 songs which are not on this version. Darlington are cool. They are hip. They are what your friend's have been telling you about for years so now it's time for you to discover one of the greatest Ramones-Weasel style bands out there today! Go ahead, buy the CD. It's okay. I won't tell your Mom!

This is a real good buy. They sound like a lesser version of Screeching Weasel, Queers, Vindictives, Huntingtons, etc. I guess you'd put them on the "Ramones sound-alikes" B-team. This release isn't quite as good as Girltroversy. Almost, but not quite. The best songs are Gretchen, Bowling Betty, & Superspazz. Is the song about Joe Queer supposed to be mean or funny?
