I bought this CD just for the Belvedere tracks like everyone else. Too bad that the songs end up being horrible. My favorite songs turned out to be from Carter Peace Mission. They remind me of old Blink 182. Veteran Flashbax and The Throw Downs are bands that just got drowned out in the overwhelming amount of music out there. I was actually pretty disappointed with this CD. If you're really into Belvedere and you want to have all of their songs, it's worth it, but you might be better off buying something else.

This album reminds me of the kind of stuff I listened to when I first got into punk. This could have been any number of early Fearless or Liberation or Lookout comps. It reminds you that there used to be a shit load of local punk bands that were oh so close to being good, but they all somehow fell slightly short, whether it was the drumming that wasn't tight enough or a singer that just didn't quite get there. I bought this for the unreleased Belvedere tracks because, let's face it, they are one of the most incredible, underrated, unknown punk bands of the last 2-3 years. It's a shame that they broke up after "Fast Forward..." because that is easily one of the craziest, catchiest punk rock records ever released. Unfortunately these unreleased tracks are from when they were just another "almost there" local band. For $5.50 it's worth it for die-hard Belvedere fans, but go buy "Fast Forward..." first and prepare to have your fucking skull caved in.

get this if you've never heard of belvedere, carter peace mission, or veteren flashbax. there is another band on this, but i can't remeber who it is - they kinda suck anyway. the carter peace mission play pop-punk with a little help from chris cougar on drums, the same chris from the imfamous jon cougar concentration camp. i already described veteren flaskbax and belvedere in other reviews and i don't feel like doing it again.
