Piebald's sound has matured over the years. "All Ears, All Eyes, All the Time" is more than sufficient in the rockin' department, but the biggest standout is the album's surprisingly poignant lyrics. While Piebald thankfully avoids such angst-ridden emo clich├ęs, it's hard to ignore All Ears' recurrent themes of regret and the all-too-rapid passage of time. "I suppose a bunch of these songs talk about getting older, and I don't remember any of that being in our songs until now. It's not a funny subject or a happy subject; it's just life and that's the way it goes. You can't really change it, so you might as well embrace it." says Travis. With the Piebald guys still only in their mid-twenties, it's this thoughtfulness and willingness to embrace change that has allowed the band to come up with their best music to date, four albums into their career.

A good piano rock album. I've not heard much of Piebald since this is my first CD of theirs, but I really do like it. There's just something about the way their songs flow that puts a smile on my face. The Benefits Of Ice Cream, Human Taste Test, Haven't Tried It, Get Old Or Die Trying and Part Of Your Body Is Made Out Of Rock are the best songs on the album.

This was recommended to me by a respected musician but before buying I got a lot of negative feedback on this record from other people. Eventually I decided to buy it anyway and I'm really glad I did. Its different than their best album - The Only Friends That We Have - but its great for what it is. Great melodies. Very memorable stuff.

Ohh man, this is a freakin' good cd. from start to finish its a good listen. I saw these guys in concert a few months ago with the Weakerthans, and they were terrific. My favorite songs on this cd are, "human Taste Test", "I havent tried it", "Put your slippers on instead" and all the others. They use alot of piano on this cd, and im a big fan of good piano. They have almost a style like the theme to cheers in thier piano songs. Piebald has come to be one of my favorite bands. Be sure to check out "We are the only friends we have" and "Venetian Blinds" and thier old shit too.

i have mixed feelings about this cd i it is definatly a diffrent sound for piebald and i do admire bands for trying new things i miss the old piebald sound i wouln't say it's a must have unless your a diehard fan of the band if you dont know piebald that well then i think you should check out some of there older stuff

I'm a huge piebald fan and i bought this cd right away, and i gotta say i am totally satisfied with that purchase. this cd is so different. i had previously heard some of these songs when i saw them playing with Brand New in dewey beach, DE [my favorite show i've ever been to]. i was one a the few people there who was just as excited to see piebald too and they put on a great show. I'm sure they picked up a few fans that day. if you get a chance to see them live, dont miss it. [same goes for brand new, every show has been amazing]. BUT the point is buy this cd now. biggest influence is weezer maybe? they definitely have their own sound though. highlights IMO are Present Tense, Jealous Guy Blues, I Haven't Tried It, and All Senses Lost.

this is my first piebald cd and i must say that i like it alot. the lyrics are from the heart and u can tell that they are not written to coincide with the music like so many other bands do.this cd will easily cure a bad mood. travis has an amazing voice and everything else about this cd is great too. its not exactly punk, not exactly emo, and not exactly hardcor, but somewhere in the middle. side one dummy continues to impress me with ther awesome and diverse line up. i highly reccomend this cd even though i know some wont like it if ther not open minded and screamo is the only thing they listen too. dont lie u no thats the "in" thing.. any way if u want something different and just some great rock music i would highly reccomend all ears, all eyes, all the time.

i love this album. piebald is probably my favorite band of all time. this album picks off where 'we are the only friends we have' left off. its got a little bit of everything. its got some fast catchy stuff and its also got some slow stuff thats just really awesome to listen to. id probably declare piebald the best 'fun' sounding band there is, but then again im a huge fan. i suggest that everyone pick up this album. whether youre into pop punk or hardcore stuff, no matter what i think everyone will find something they like about this cd

This album is the first non-hardcore, punk, or metalcore album I have ever purchased on interpunk. I must say that I am quite glad I bought this. I was lucky enough to see Piebald when they opened for Thursday in Fargo, ND, and I must say, Piebald were a lot of fun to watch and they rocked quite hard. Intricate guitars, elaborate compositions, and quirky/relatable lyrics make this band's music a must for any fan of the fore-mentioned genres of music. Some songs on this album remind me of early Ben Kweller and some just flat out rock like earlier Piebald,(American Hearts, Grace Kelly..., etc...) The album's best song, "The Song That Launched a Thousand Ships" is amazing and chances are you will find yourself listening to it non-stop until you remember there are 14 other songs on this record. "Human Taste Test", "Present Tense", and "Haven't Tried It" are all amazing and catchy rock songs as well. For any punk or hardcore kid who wants to branch out into what good old fashioned rock music should sound like, make "All Ears, All Eyes, All the Time" your next interpunk.com purchase. (Buy the new Eighteen Visions June 1st and the new My Chemical Romance, June 8th!)
