It's a really good MxPx album i think - power punk music. God create people in the image and likeness of His. People have creative ability. It's a good manner when you can't fast say how many songs you like in album. I think this very good album.

MxPx is an amazing band who have been around over a decade and they are still pumping out catchy, fast, punk rock songs. This, however is one of their earlier efforts.Teenage Politics is their second full length CD. Every song is fast and very catchy. None of this 'Before Everything and After' business. The lyrics range from topics like every day teenage life to more serious subjects like how they feel about egotistical adults. This is most definately a must have for any one who already a fan of any of MxPx's other releases. This is also the first full length CD with the permanent band members that are all 3 still in the band today. Tom had started playing guitar by this point, in other words. I would also stronly recommending anyone who has yet to see MxPx live, to look into that and see if you can hit up a show that they are playing. There are classic MxPx songs on this record like Teenage Politics and Punk Rawk Show that are still played during their live shows today. Overall, a classic fast punk record with suberb lyrics by Mike and galloping drum beats provided by my Mr. Ruley.

Their most recently released CD, Panic is also very good. They have gotten out of the rut that they were in during 'Before Everything and After' and have returned to the faster and much-more catchy punk music.

Two thumbs up fellas! Keep up the good work!

This is one of MxPx's best albums. It sounds like a combination of 'Pokinatcha' and 'Life in General'. This cd has some of the most meaningful lyrics out of all of MxPx’s albums. It talks about the problems in today’s society, growing up, and God. Almost every song is great, but instead of me listing out my favorites, why don't you just buy the cd and see for yourself.

Magnified Plaid gets political. Ok, you may be thinking along the terms of the Clash or any of the other earlier political punksters but this is NOT your typical music with a message. No, if you're expecting three chord riffs with lyrics spouting anarchy, spend thrifts on corporations, or any other of the sterotypical punk stuff, you are sadly mistaken. The boys from Bremerton move away from the wordly things to teenage aspects on life. Songs discuss topics such as confusion ("Do & Don't"), demoralization in America ("Democracy"), and growing up ("The Opposite of Intellect"). The style musically is raw compared to their later releases but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Tom Wisniewski's Les Paul's scratches and scrapes, Mike Herrera's bass and whimsy vocals, and the explosion on the kit from Yuri Ruley make this an all-around pretty decent record. The best that MxPx has put out? No, but certainly not the worst. Ok, ok, I lied. But you have to remember, the great anthem, "Punk Rawk Show" graces the album and that's almost worth a fourth of the price.

This is a great mxpx cd. Its not there best but they were young you got to give them credit. It is definetly one of my favorite mxpx cds, and is definetly worth buying if you are into mxpx. The one bad thing is some songs get a little repetitive because of the way the songs were written. But it is definetly a great cd, so go buy it.
