Leatherface has a very unique take on what punk rock is, and I like it. Frankie Stubbs has a voice that will grow on you like cancer. Leatherface has better albums but this one is definitly worth owning too.

Leatherface is back again with flare. This cd is great but not Horsebox (horsebox was meant to have a 5). Great songs include Hoodlum, Bakelite, Raga, and of course the best song on the cd, YOU. I love these guys, and so should YOU. YOU should buy this cd. YOU should also buy Horsebox first. Then this one. now

This is amazing stuff. I wish I would have started listening to this band a long time ago. I was at a show in Houston in 2001. There was an upstairs and a downstairs each with a different show going on. Downstairs was LEATHERFACE, HOT WATER MUSIC and SMALL BROWN BIKE (I think???) and upstairs there was PROPAGANDHI, AVAIL, J-CHURCH and FABULOUS DISASTER. The venue was PACKED so you had to pick one or the other...upstairs or downstairs? I chose upstairs because I wanted to see Propagandhi play soooo bad. Six years later after listening to Leatherface....I realized I made a mistake and I should have pushed my way downstairs to see their performance. Oh well :( = This is an amazing album. You have to hear the song "SMALL YELLOW CHAIR". Frankie Stubbs is a brilliant poet with a driving sound.

I love their style. I have never heard a song from this group that I have not loved. Horsebox is my favorite and will probably remain on top unless they start pumping out great quality albums again, and please do.

Leatherface are back from the pubs after 4 years since the incredible HorseBox CD and their follow-up is nothing short of spectacular. This album will remain on my top 10 pile for the rest of 2004, no doubt. Stubbs' Lemmy-like vocals growl & snarl with sincerety. The words seem to stumble from his lips, sometime falling short of the listener's ears, but convincing you to get off your ass and pick up the lyric sheet. It is pure poetry to read along to. Every song hits an emotional note. My faves being Eggbound, Hoodlum, & Plastic Surgery. Eggbound sweeps by with a simple guitar lick that makes you dizzy in it's beauty. The liquor-laced melancholy fans of Alkaline Trio will binge on this! HAPPY BAPPY!
