This is a fun album all the way through. And it has some of my favorite Vindictives songs. Well worth the two dollars. Hell, Rocks in My Head is worth the two dollars.

Well, I don't really understand the complaints about the sound quality on this CD. Someone either has finicky ears or a shitty stereo. It sounds fine. I wouldn't even call it rough or raw. Don't let complaints about the sound keep you from buying this. Anyway, this disc contains all the 7" and comp tracks from the second half of their...I don't know...career, I guess you'd call it. The only thing missing that I can think of is their track from their split with the Sloppy Seconds and I believe that song is actually on the "Original Masters" CD. Anyway, the first 8 songs are from their 3 seven inches that were released on Lookout in '94 & '95 and it's the best stuff on here. The rest of the songs are all covers (2 Sex Pistols tunes, a Banana Splits song, and 2 Xmas jingles) and they are ok but not essential. So, no, this is not as good as "Many Moods Of The Vindictives", but the band was at their peak then and, anyway, that disc is out of print, so let's focus on this one. "Curious Oddities..." is mandatory for an Vindictives fan and should be enjoy able for the casual listener, too.

Well I wouldn't really consider this a "Many Moods of the Vindictives - PART TWO" because Many Moods is 28 songs of pure punk rock perfection that kicks your ass from track one all the way down to track 28. It's impossible to compare any other Vindictives album to Many Moods, everything else just pales in comparison.

With that said, this is a very solid collection of songs from the Vindictives. Most of these songs aren't as essential as the ones on Many Moods but they're still a welcome addition to my collection. Buy this AFTER you have purchased Many Moods of the Vindictives.

I was a little hesitant to get this when I read the reviews below me that said the recording quality was bad. But they were wrong. Listen, it's punk rock, it's not suppost to be polished. The songs sound great. You get to hear songs that have been out of print and lost to the vinyl archives. I highly recomend this for Vindictives fans. If you are a new fan, get "Many Moods of the Vindictives".

After having most of these songs on a crappy blank tape for a few years i was happy as hell to see these songs on cd, especially 2 Ton Tessie which was on the orginal pressing of Partytime for Assholes at the end of the cd which was formatted as a single track, what a pain that was. anyways the quality kinda sucks so ill give this a four. but its a must for any vindictives fan, this way you dont have to pull out a bunch of 7"s when you want to hear these songs. but for anyone getting into the vindictives, i say buy the Many Moods of... 1st.

I actually own 3 of the ep's out of the 6 compiled on this CD - Alarm Clocks/Left for Dead, Eating Me Alive/Johnny & Rocks in my Head & being a Vindictives fan I thought I'd buy the CD for the tracks I did'nt own & also I assumed as the ep's I own were released nearly 10 years ago, the CD version would be remastered & contain better sounding versions of the songs that got me into this great band in the first place. Alas the sound quality is worse on CD than on the original vinyl ep's, it sounds hollow & lifeless, with the drums muted somewhere in the background - pretty shitty. I frankly would not buy this if I'd heard what it contained, plus the songs I had'nt heard are'nt really worth hearing & are completely forgetable. This album was billed as The Many Moods of...mark 2 but falls well short of that classic album. If you must buy any Vindictives album buy The Many Moods of..., there's about 30 songs on it & everyone is a winner. If you've never heard the Vindictives I compell you to seek out some of their stuff as overall it is excellent, think Sloppy Seconds & you kinda get what they sound like, start with The Many Moods of...but avoid this pile of shit.

Completely awesome!!! If you enjoyed the "Many Moods" CD this is the next logical step. Its basically, as the description says, the second many moods collection. All the lookout and other out of print vinyl is here. So if you don't have this on the original format this is what you need. Awesome catchy and snotty punk rock. I shudder to call this pop punk because of what has happened to that genre over the years of mainstream exposure, but this band continues to delivery. If you like this band and enjoy this CD and the many moods CD, take a dive into "Hypno Punko" or the "Muzak for Robots". This is one of the most under appreciated and best punk bands ever. You can really tell the band loves their craft. The intelligent and witty lyrics put these in front of similar bands of the style. Get all the 'conventional' Vindictives material and then the Hypno Punko and Muzak Robots. (keep an eye out for the new Vindictives project "MoneyShot". This is an essential CD.
