Love Me Destroyer

Black Heart Affair

(Members From Pinhead Circus, Jedi Five)

Suburban Home 8021

Released on November 4, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The debut album from this ferocious new band formed from the smoldering wreckage of PINHEAD CIRCUS. Adding CHIP from Phoenix sensations JEDI FIVE, the band took their Pinhead Circus sound, and pushed the heavy meter into the red.

(PUNK) This CD is pretty good. You can tell that there is a connection between LMD and Pinhead Circus. This CD is like a new more modern Pinhead Circus. I personally liked Pinhead a lot more. They just had more substance. However, I would buy this CD if you like Pinhead. If you haven't herd Pinhead Circus I would buy "Detailed Instructions For The Self Involved" B4 you buy this CD.

This album shreds up the normal tunes being put out right now. The production is a bit poor but damn the CD is hard to touch for fast catchy punk rock. The vocals are also pretty unique which ads that must more to the entire album. This is totally worth the cash.

I bought this CD with the hopes that it would deliver the same energy as Pinhead Circus but with a more mature sound. I would have to say that they have certainly succeeded. It is not your average "scream into a mic while my guitarist palm-mutes a d-tuned guitar and my drummer abuses his double bass pedal for 12 bars just to go into a whiny poorly sung breakdown so that we can appeal to emo kids too" hardcore/metal band that floods the scene these days. They are straight forward hardcore with their punk roots still intact, the way it should be. From the first song to the last you are blasted with great melody, rockin breakdowns, and great song-writing. The production of this album is outstanding thanks to drums recorded by Bill Stevensen (ALL) & Jason Livermore and engineering by Chris Fogal. Definitely one of the best punk/hardcore albums of the year. If you are a fan of good melodic hardcore you should definitely buy this album and give it a listen; if not? I am sure you can probably find an Atreyu cd on this site.

I was disappointed when Pinhead Circus broke up, because I felt they hadn't even tapped into their full potential. But in comes Love Me Destroyer out of the ashes, and what do you know, the goddamn sun still shines. They may be a little bit more rock than Pinhead was, but there is still that melodic hard charging oomph that made them so good. The 1st song will flat knock you on your ass, and you had better get up quick because the rest of the cd packs a mighty wallop too. Can't wait to hear more from this band. Cheers fellas!!!!
