Gravity 42

Released on November 18, 2003

TRISTEZA and Gravity are proud to release the second half of the Gravity studio sessions, with this new seven song EP. Espuma picks up where Mania Phase (Gravity #41) left off. TRISTEZA creates elements of dub, more electronics, ambient drone, free jazz, repetition, and avant experimentation. The end result is an exiting release with TRISTEZA exploring further their unique, hauntingly beautiful music.

TRISTEZA is a San Diego, CA band with LPs on Makoto and Tiger Style, a previous EP on Gravity and other 7"s. Various members were in notable San Diego bands like CRIMSON CURSE (31G), James Lavelle is also in the band THE ALBUM LEAF (Troubleman).

This LP is amazing! Very chill and sexy. The recording sounds great as well. It is not over-produced and sounds "real". This is my favorite record that they have put out to date. For fans of album leaf, boards of canada, american football, and couch. Instrumental indie-rock doesnt get any better that this. cheers!
