Boys Night Out

Make Yourself Sick

Ferret Music 40

Canada is good for more than just strong beer and sweet actors, the place dishes out some solid rock as well. Boys Night Out is their newest export and the great white north has another winner on their hands. At the beginning of an exceptionally promising career the boys are itching to get their music to the masses. BNO play a dark take on pop punk laced with screaming vocals and the occasional breakdown. 'Make Yourself Sick' is a masterpiece of a debut album. The time and effort that went into this 2 month recording effort shines through in the creativity of the song writing and the recording itself. From church choirs to samples to multiple layers of vocals this album more than hints at what this band can become.

This cd is really amazing. BNO have a unique ability to mix punk, hardcore, and emo into a package. Anyone can love this band and cd because Boys Night Out are so diverse, one minute the singer is singing great, and than the next there is a blood-curttling scream. The lyrics on this album may be the best part, they are well thought out...wait what am i saying they are all about killing girls, but eh, they are great anyhow. Anyway, pick up this album if you want to hear a new spin on a style of music thateveryone seems to play the same. You won't be disappointed.

this cd is so awesome. ferret music is quickly becoming one of my main sources for cool bands. i like every kind of music whether it be punk hardcor or ska or emo. and this is great punk/harcor/emo. they have a great singer and a really cool screamer. mixing melodic pop punk with blistering hardcor never sounded so good. if ur not too harcor and not too emo and somewhere in the middle then this cd is perfect. great lyrics too. canadian punk at its finest. check out other ferret music like the bronx and the FIRST from autumn to ashes cd. also if ur interested in canadian punk check out grade, propagandhi, defy false authority, and the weakerthans. i dont give 5 too often. and when i do its for something that stands out and is highly orriginal. well heres ur five. keep up the good work bno!

I bought this cd without even hearing BNO and now it's constantly being played in my car and on my stereo. If you like A Static Lullaby you'll probably really like BNO. The sound is similar except I think BNO does a better job. I love this cd.

it seems a little overproduced. The best track is "where be breathe" even though its not listed online on the case or in the lyrics sheet.... its still a good album toss it in for a listen to every so often i've heard their better live

This cd rules. Great mix of melodic and hardcore, and in like no way I've ever heard. This band was like if you took new found glory, and made them good (mixed in with a little hardcore). Check out this record.

IF POP PUNK AND HARDCORE EVER HAD A KID, THIS WOULD BE THE OUTCOME. THIS CD ISNT EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, THE FIRST EP IS A LOT HARDER THAN THE NEW CD, PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE I KNOW LOVES THIS CD, I ON THE OTHER HAND AM A BIGGER FAN OF THE EP. LYRICALLY SPEAKING, FUCKING INCREDIBLE, WELL WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT JUST FOR THE QUOTES, BUY AND ENJOY

Pretty good CD. A different kind of mix going on, which is refreshing. Good lyrics. Definately worth checking out.

i like two songs. these guys have lost their hardcore edge from their ep. they used to be hardcore w/ some lighter break downs. of course, keeping in line w/ the recent selling out of all bands w/ the label "punk" or "hardcore", they are now nice w/ some screaming. not good, not bad. just another full length that probably should have been an ep.
