Not much to say, it's a good collection of really old punk songs by an incredible band. Now, don't expect this to sound like what these guys have sounded like for the past few albums (which are incredible), its old punk but with that Social D signature sound. Mike Ness is this band and has that unmistakable voice.
Great stuff, but I wouldn't get it before some of their other albums, such as the self-titled, Sex, Love and Rock n Roll, the white album.

This album has some good songs on it. My favorites are their cover of "Under My Thumb," & "Playpen." Although I think "Mommy's Little Monster" is a better album, if you like that album alot, you should also get this one. This album & "M'sLM" will complete your collection of SD's old stuff.

I'm a huge Social D fan, so this is a little biased, but Mainliner is really one hell of a CD. It's nice to hear some more early stuff from Social D and most of the songs on here are really well done. A must have for all Social D fans and strongly recommended for those just getting into older punk music. “1945” is not only one of my favorite Social D songs, but one of my favorite songs period.
Key Tracks: “1945,” “Mainliner,” “Under My Thumb”

This is a must have for all Social Distortion fans. I got into SD back in 1995. I just got this CD this year. When I first heard this CD I was actually pissed for having missed out on their earlier stuff this whole time. I probably wouldn't recommend it as a FIRST Social Distortion purchase, since it has two versions of 1945 and Playpen. I'd start off with Mommy's Little Monster.

obviously anything social d does has to be good, so this cd automatically gets 5 stars. the only thing i didnt like was how there was two versions of playpen and 1945. really cool to see where social d started out and compare this to sex love rock&roll. get mommys little monster first, as that is their best album.

I bought this cd after I bought mommy's little monster. I gunna have to say this cd is not quite as good, but It is still a great cd. It is strait old school punk. Nothing like any recent cds. It dosent have the country sound to it at all. If you are a fan of mlm or any old school punk I would get this.
