Pretty much everything has been said about this album. Yeah, it's Eric's band before Nerve Agents (and after Unit Pride) and Jade from AFI was in it. He's not on this release though. I think this and All Guns Poolside are tied for how good they are.

This is just really excellent posi/old school sounding hardcore.

this is a great record... i can't compare it to All Guns Poolside because I've never heard it... but I doubt it could be anything near as good as this record. Good ol' fashion hardcore with no gags. Eric Ozzene sounds delightfully brutal and the music fits perfectly. BUY THIS!!! NOW!!!

I think this is better than All Guns Poolside. Its a proper album, where as AGP is more like an mcd with some covers and a demo chucked in at the end. don't get me wrong its good, but you should get this 1st.

All the songs on here are great. Spideys Song is simply awesome. The whole album is a nice mix of punk and hardcore, perhaps favouring the old school stylings of hardcore more.

Nerve Agents/Eric Ozenne fans should get this definatly.

Redemption 87 is a really good harcore band, and Eric Ozenne is an excellent singer! The songs on this album are great and a couple of them appear on "All Guns Poolside" in re-recorded versions. It is not listed on the cd, but at the very end of the album is R87's version of 7 Second's "Young Until I Die". I don't know who sings it, but it is not Eric. Get this album & "All Guns Poolside".

Great old school hardcore. Completely devoid of all that metal influence stuff that goes around these days. Really postive lyrics like : "Life is full of changes. Don't be misled. Stay true to your feelings. And you'll be one step ahead!" Very cheesy, but neat. Fun CD, and Eric has a great voice.

My this is delightful. Eric really rocks it. Look at Jade, pre-AFI! Mwaha, whatta goon. Ozenne's voice usually gives me some chills and this cd definitely does that. Look into the Nerve Agents if you haven't already. Fuuuun schtuff.

I made the mistake of comparing this band to the Nerve Agents. I shouldn't have because Redemption 87 is a lot different. Eric's vioce seems more raw and less developed, and the song structures are less creative than what the Nerve Agents did. But it would be hard for any band to ever live up to the N.A.! Redemption 87 is very good...but just not amazing. Fans of earlier hardcore would probably dig this because it almost seems like a throw back to the 80's.
