I'd heard a lot of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes before I bought this album. I really like them. They did a good job putting punk covers on these old songs. Even my parents liked this album. I'd recommend this to any Me First fan and every punk out there. but dont get it if all you want is the bowling tips. they lied, there aren't any tips on the album.

Gimmie Gimmies - Don't buy this unless you have heard most of these songs before. I really like Rocket Man and One Tin Soldier but the rest of this CD is made of cheese. So shoot me...

Ah this was ok. Kinda mid-tempo songs. Not too fast, not too slow. Sounds a bit like NUFAN and The Ataris, which I hate, but my mom likes, so I gave the cd to her. Had some of her favorite songs on here, too.

This Cd is good. Most of the songs are really good. It's not better than good, it's just good. If you expect to go, haha I know that, well you might, but I didn't. The best song on this CD in my opinion is 'Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard.' Like, be a pirate and make sure you like at least some of the songs on this CD before you buy it. It's good music, it's just not what you'd expect to all enjoy and stuff from a cover band. I've noticed this with all Me First albums. They're good, but there's only a few songs that you can actually recognize. And don't think I don't know these songs because I'm a 14 year old hardcore no other music punker. I'm fifteen (fucka) and I've liked just about every type of music on the face of the planet. But anyway, this just isn't what I would expect to hear, like, it's not the songs and whatnot. But I'm going to stop bitching, as you all know you'd like me to do. So yeah.

This was a class A act by the gimmsters! Fat Mike blows my socks off with his powering bass and the vocals are completely awesome! I just cant believe how good this is. My other album by them is actually pretty good too...So inconclusion,if you purchase this cd,me first and the gimme gimmes will leave you saying "GIMME MORE!" Lata dude and dudet!

Well, for the "modern-day" punker, this isn't the best choice. This is definitely something that you have to be into other music to truly enjoy. You have covers of songs from Barry Manilow, Neil Diamon, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc. done in a punk style. With that said, this album is simply AWESOME! I've heard all of the originals they cover and it's all done to punk perfection. $11.50 is a steal for this great material. Twelve classic punk covers all in a fun half-hour. This certainly isn't for EVERY punk fan, but there's some that will definietly love it like me!
