In my opinion compared to all the current circle jerks albums, this is best. It's their debut, and if you never heard of them, this is the one to pick up first. And if you don't know already, the lead singer keith morris started out as the first vocalist in black flag. I guess when keith left that band, he took a couple black flag songs (he had co-written with the guitarist) with him.wasted and i don't care, which are similarly like each other, but c.j.s faster. Now if your a punk or consider your one,for sometime and haven't heard this yet, i seriously doubt your a real punk, this came out in 1981,you need to get your ass kicked if you don't have it.So get off your lazy fuckin ass and buy it or die.

reasons to buy Group sex

1.) Circle Jerks made amazing punk jams with actuall meaning be-hind it.

2.) Wrote the song, "I just want some skank" it changed my life, and will change yours too...

3.) The albums only like 18 mminets long, something like that, ... and people say its one of the most influential and inspiring punk albums of all time, if they could do that in 17, to 18 minets, well... they make allot of punk bands, look like shit.....yeah yeah yeah

4.) Band name is Circle jerks.

5.) Album name is Group Sex...

6.) theyre lyrics are actually really fucking good, and really fucking solid man...

7.)I bought it, now you, fucking cunt face.

So, If you're looking at this, then you probably have some knowledge of Circle Jerks. And, if you're thinking of buying it and you're into the sort of stuff then you should. Seriously. As far as classic punk LP's go, this would be pretty high up there in my opinion. Keith Morris was/is an amazing punk singer(not just in Circle Jerks, but in Black Flag, too). You listen to his voice and hear fucking aggression. The music is raw. completely raw. If you listen to it now and you actually think about the fact that it was released in 81, it's really amazing how relevant it still is- both the songwriting and the music. If you're just getting into them, then I suggest this and you should get into Black Flag, too. My favorite songs on the album would have to be Behind the Door, Deny Everything, Red Tape, Wasted(ha, if pressed to choose, that is). Great album from start to finish. Oh, and i got mine on pink vinyl, so if you're a vinyl collector and into it, then you can probably get it on color vinyl. and get into it.

Circle jerks are amazing and anyone who doesnt have this is really missing out . Keith morris is an amazing punk singer and the drummer is ridiculously fast . the on;y thing i didnt like was that the song wasted was a total black flag rip off

I'm reviewing this LP three months after i bought it. Although this album is quite short (14 songs in approx. 18 minutes), it's fuckin' rad anyways. Fast, loud, and pissed off is a good way to describe it. It also has some humour in the lyrics. My favourite tracks are "I Just Want Some Skank", "Beverly Hills, "Paid Vacation", "Live Fast, Die Young", and "Red Tape." But every track is awesome. The only disapointing thing about this is that there is no lyric sheet. This is a true SoCal hardcore classic from the early '80s! Fans of Black Flag, Adolescents, JFA, etc. should have this!

I'll be honest on this one. I couldn't get into this record. I've been a fan of black flag and other punk bands for years but this was my first chance to buy a circle jerks album. The sound quality and production of the album are horrilbe. The songs are short and choppy, and the lyrics are completly unintelligent. I know thats what alot of punk bands are about but I don't know I just diddn't like this album that much. I diddn't hate it, theres a few songs I enjoyed, but overall I diddn't like it all that much. I would say go ahead and buy if your into this stuff but if your a fan of more progressive British street punk I don't think you'll like it too much
