doggy style kicks ass! straight up skate punk, some of their songs are kinda poppyish, i was expecting more of something like JFA or stalag 13, but either way this band still kicks ass. i recomend this to you if you are into skatepunk.

I had this on tape for years & was so pleased when it was finally re-released. It's both their albums from the late 80's & is frankly an essential purchase for anyone into "skatepunk". It starts with Don't Hit Me Up (their 2nd album) & is followed by Doggy Style II (their 1st), and both are classics. They are by no means a generic fast skatepunk band but are highly original, funny, quirky & musically stand out from other bands of this genre. If you want something a little bit different this could be the album you're looking for, catchy as hell & frankly deserving more recognition than it gained. Stand out tracks are - i like you, don't hit me up, goofy head, the heffas & family man. All in all a gem.
