Even In Blackouts

Thresholds From The Basement

Little Mafia 67

Released on May 5, 2009

$9.75
Buy

Even In Blackouts' fourth and strongest release finds them once again pressing at the walls of their pop-punk origins to emerge with a sound that is richer, more unique, and more inviting than any record store category can define. 'Thresholds' is the diamond of their rough history. Recorded on a shoe-string budget, it holds the essence of all punk music.

A different feel than EIB's other rleaseas. I do like it though. I think this is also EIB's last album too. Phillip is doing the Teen Idols again and hopefully Jugghead will have a new music project too! So if you liked EIB's other albums, get this to complete your collection, but make a note that it is different sounding/style (in a good way!).

I first heard this band on an AMP sAMPler, I believe, years ago. I liked them enough them for that one song to permanately leave Even In Blackouts etched in my brain, so that years later, seeing their new album released I just felt I had to have it, I'm glad that I got it. Upbeat and almost folky, it will leave you humming and tapping your feet for days. You can tell just by listening to some of the tracks that they must have had a lot of fun recording this album, and it shows through. Check. Out. This. Band.
