Divided We Stand

Nitro 15854

$12.75

The second Nitro album from Los Angeles punk legends TSOL since their reunification back in 1999. Thirteen hot tracks of classic SoCal punk that sounds, well, like TSOL-original members JACK GRISHAM, RON EMORY, and MIKE ROCHE (original drummer FRANCIS GERALD BARNES is deceased), along with friends GREG KUEHN (longtime keyboardist), BILLY BLAZE, and DAVID BIANCO.

Not the best T.S.O.L. album I've heard, but then, it's tough to top yourself. There's a couple draggers on there, but the album overall kicks ass. There's some faster and more rockin tunes and also some slower (but still good) tracks, too. And you can't go wrong with that classic T.S.O.L. sound. They've got that keyboard in there to really give it a unique sound and Emory tears it up on lead guitar as usual. Grisham's melodies and tempos are mostly killer, too.

Another good TSOL cd accomplished. They might be getting older and older on each release but they still kick ass. Sedatives, serious and sex not violence are all good and more. This whole cd is worth buying and listening to. I can listen to every song on it just about.

This is good. Most people are probably thinking, "It's new stuff from an old band, it probably sucks" But this does not suck. Quite the contrary. It rocks! Yay! Dare I say... rolls?

the greatest TSOL cd. It is the perfect example of the 70's early 80's punk movement. If you are a TSOL fan this is a must have.

This CD is amazing. The band was able to continue their "punkness" by ignoring what people wanted or expected. Though the band no longer stands for anarchy, it is nice to see they are still passionate about being "anti-eveything." This album sounds more like Dissapear without the morbid "crypt keeper" sound. (I do love Dissapear also.) They are pretty old now too and the lyrics tend to show. Like I said, this CD is amazing...It isn't really the punk sound they used to have but it is their continous rejection of staying with a particular sound because it sounds good that makes them punk. If you like music, you have to buy this album. I don't care what type of music you like most, this is a must buy.
