Slackers

Close My Eyes

Hellcat 80455

Released on September 9, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The Slackers are true modern day masters who produce moments on stage that are amazing. The band is a lightning rod for talent fronted by the outstanding vocals, songwriting and keyboard playing of Vic Ruggiero, who happens to be supported by one of the hottest and most entertaining live bands today. Check out the song “Mommy” for the ultimate blend of Vic’s heart wrenching soulful vocal style, percolating keyboard work tossed with Reggae-fied, Afro-Carribean flavor. It’s the epitome of what the Slackers do as a band.

Probably the best Slackers album there is. Axes is my favorite song on the album. Redlight is great cd too, and Wasted days is good. Buy it.

This CD is good. Good music to listen to in the summer. "Real War" and the first two songs are the best.

This album is good, not quite as good as their other albums. If you are going to buy an album I would suggest "Red Light" or "Wasted Days". Vic Ruggerio has an awesome voice and is a really good song writer.

One word: AMAZING. This is definatly one of the best ska album I've ever heard, it's a refreshing change from the crap ska that's being put out now. Go see this band live too, they're even more amazing. Definatly pick this up.

Wow what a great record. This is the first time i really listened to the Slackers. They are really good. Kinda Rock Steady/Reggae sound to it. I think you should download a few songs first though, just to see what they are like. Favourite songs, "Old Dog", "Axes" "Been Waiting" "Close My Eyes", "Mommy" and "Lazy Woman"
