Nodes Of Ranvier

Nodes Of Ranvier

Facedown 34

Released on July 1, 2003

With the success of last years debut "Lost Senses, More Innocence", Nodes of Ranvier quickly won over fans nationwide and put their hometown of Sioux Falls, SD on the map! This self titled CD is an amazing progression and evolution of a good band getting better! Top notch metallic and melodic hardcore that is a must for fans of Poison the Well and Hopesfall!

Another great release by Nodes. Although the band name is incredibly retarded, I'll look past that into the contents of the actual disc. Tracks 1 and 5 are definitely the standouts and since I was picking up a couple other CDs off Interpunk already, I decided to grab this since it was cheap - stop rockin' your CD-R copy and buy it, it's worth it. The Christian lyrics are definitely something this CD could do without but coming from Facedown, you can't really expect much else. Good CD, worth the [insert price here] that it's going for.

Where do I begin with this disc? Nodes Of Ranvier's second full-length has everything you need to make an awesome metalcore disc. Scathing vocals with an occasional sung melody, crunchy guitars, and tight drumming make up this disc with talent abound. "A Clean Head & A Clear Conscience", "Butcher The Baker & The Candlestick Maker", "Don't Blink (Or We May Miss It)", and "Faith In The Faux" standout as the highlights on this release. So if you're a fan of Haste The Day, ZAO, This Runs Through, and Society's Finest, you should love this as well. Make sure to see the sweet live show and support an awesome band. -Ben

Holy crap, this c.d is amazing. They are pretty much the perfect band. every member of this band does what they do so well, especially the singer, his voice amazes me. This just as good if not better than their first album. Definatley pick this up.

For fans of; As I lay Dying, Zao, Underoath, Across Five Aprils

"Hello, this is Jimmy Page and I wanna hear some rock n' roll!" is what this CD opens with. NOR don't play rock n' roll, but they sure as hell do rock. This CD is a must for fans of Poison The Well or Darkest Hour. Each time I listen to this CD, I begin to like it more and more. There are alot of really mediocre metalcore bands out there, but NOR are a step above the pack. Check this out, fucker.
