14 Year Old Girls

Zombies In Robots Out

Retard Disco 1

Released on May 13, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The debut album from Los Angeles Nintendo-punk faves the 14 YEAR OLD GIRLS. Sixteen tracks of guitar-and-Casio-based punk rocked short (for short attention spans) and sweet with themes of video games, junk food, and shit like that.

Some cute dancy songs. Nothing musically amazing, but if you are a video game nerd you might like this as you get the feeling you could hang out with this band and play some playstayion. (Although they seem to be more of Nintendo fans).

This is profoundly awesome. It's not that incredibly well done, it's not that innovative, and it's really not that funny. However, the fact that somebody actually made something like this is wonderful.

Basically, imagine a Devo album that's spinning at roughly four times the speed it should. Then, throw in lyrics about Tomb Raider, snack foods, and Super Mario Bros. Add awesome as needed thoughout.

That's this album.

Well, what can I say, this is different. It's not the best album I've ever heard, but it's certianly not the worst either.

Let me start out by saying that if you love video games, this is the album for you. If you hate them, don't buy this. Every song is about video games. Every song is barely a minute long too.

I would liken this band to the early B-52's. I don't know, they just remind me of them. The female voice is severely under used! In my opinion they should move her to lead vox. The best song on here is #6, where she sings lead.

If you want something new, different and electronic sounding, this is all of those.
