Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine

Dismissed

Whoa Oh 105

Released on May 20, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Indie rock dynamics meets pop sensibility. This is what Jets To Brazil would have sounded like if Billie Joe Armstrong actually played bass for them instead of just talking about it. 14 killer tracks that will make you happy that your CD player has repeat. Both abrasive and inviting! For fans of Jawbreaker, Honor System, Idlewild, Dag Nasty, and J Church. This was recorded in Chicago by Matt Alison who also produced Alkaline Trio, Lawrence Arms, etc.

This is their newer album, I got this one at the same time. Personally I like their first release better actually, but this one could grow on me more. Anyhow CBGAV uses their two vocalists more on this album and I think it works out well. Personally I like the more abrasive vocals on this album better than the vocals on the Lawrence Arms (I really was disapointed by their Greatest Story so Far after all the hype and praise I heard about it).

Anyways I just think that particular vocal style is better in this band. I'd pick this one up too. Don't know what they've been up to lately (their site hasn't been updated in awhile), but their cds are cheap so I suggest picking them both up!

Well I got this CD after doing a little re-search on bands that sound like The Lawrence Arms because they are my favorite band. I came across these guys, and D/L the track cluttered. I fell in love w/this track, very good and catchy so I decided to buy the cd. Man was I dissapointed!! Cluttered is really the only song worth while on this cd, it seems everything else was an afterthought and cluttered is the first song!! Anyway do your self a favor and just D/L Cluttered of Whoa Oh site, trust me your better off. And as for TLA comparison I see it a little bit, they use two singers but other than that TLA is in a leugue by them selves. I give it a 3 just for Cluttered
