Sound Pollution is proud to let the rest of the world in on what Japan already knows - THE DUDOOS fucking rock!!!! Imagine if the TOY DOLLS spawned in Tokyo and you're getting much warmer. Formed in 1998 and influenced by THE DICKIES, THE VINDICTIVES, ASTA KASK, and others, THE DUDOOS have forged their own style of (super) high energy punk that could come from no place other than Japan. Chock full of excellent guitar riffing and some mad keyboard parts, Specium Sommer is 14 songs of insanely catchy melodic punk that you won't be able to get out of your head! Look for more of THE DUDOOS in the coming months from Sound Pollution.

Wow. "Jolly" and "quirky" are the best words to describe this album. It's fun, stupid, extremely Japanese pop-punk that sounds like a fairy tale. If you like your pop-punk very weird, happy and Japanese, you'll definetely like this.

Ok... I bought this album because hearing upbeat punk in Japanese is pretty entertaining. If I knew what the hell they were saying, other than the few English phrases, then I might be able to give a more accurate review. This is something to play in the car when you and a bunch of friends are heading out to video tape yourselves shooting off fireworks.
