Vinyl LP pressing. New Jersey pop-punks Saves the Day formed in 1997, releasing their debut album Can't Slow Down in 1998 followed by Through Being Cool in 1999, both on Equal Vision Records. Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, Guided By Voices), iconic third effort Stay What You was dropped in 2001 after a van accident that almost derailed their career and a jump to Vagrant Records. A highly influential record in the emo and pop punk communities, it finds the band dabbling in raucous post-punk and dark subject matter with memorable songs like "At Your Funeral" and "Freakish" resonating with the post Gen-X generation.
