Wolves [Explicit] Rise Against - Wolves is the upcoming eighth studio album by the American melodic hardcore band Rise Against. It will be released on June 9, 2017. The album's lead single, "The Violence", was released on April 20, 2017. During the writing process, the album was to be titled "Mourning in America", however after the American 2016 presidential election, the title and the song's lyrical theme no longer held true. Vocalist Tim McIlrath started in an interview with The Shrine Auditorium that "Wolves isn't about creating a safe space, it's about creating a space that's dangerous for injustice".
