I always wondered what the big deal about The Clash was. So many people and what I thought were punk elitests running their mouth about how "great The Clash is" and how "you don't really like punk if you don't like The Clash". Well sometimes people are right. I've grown to really like The Clash. This is my first Clash album and I'm already mad about it, since I now realize what I have been missing all these years; one amazing band! This is a must CD if you are unsure about The Clash, or if you like the Clash and don't want to spend a ton of money on buying up all their albums.

what can i say about the clash? one of the greatest bands of their era and still great today. if you are just getting into the clash then this is a great place to start. the only reason that i gave this cd 4 stars is because i really dont like the later stuff they put out, therefore i dont really like the second cd much at all. however the first cd is one of the better cds i own and listen to all the time. i recommend this to anyone who wants to find out what the clash is all about.

In-freaking-credible. Buy this CD, along with the Ramones and Stiff Little Fingers anthologies, and you will never have to purchase another album so long as you live.

excellent 'best of' compilation. the only big omitions i can think of are "spanish bombs" off of London Calling and "brand new cadillac" also off of London Calling. lots of pictures in the book. lots of great songs of the cds.
