Vile Beat 5008

Released on June 3, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Incorporating old–school influences such as the Clash and Motorhead, as well as more abrasive punk influences like Poison Idea and Black Flag, Daycare Swindlers emerge very close to the head of the pack of modern punk bands.” – Splendid E–zine This Is No Way To Make A Living is comprised of 21 of the Daycare Swindlers’ greatest moments on Beatville’s Vile Beat imprint – almost a full hour of the Daycare Swindlers’ special brand of spine–twisting, in–your–face punk rock! Including 16 tasty morsels from the band’s Vile Beat catalog and five previously unreleased tracks, This Is No Way To Make A Living makes for a great DCS comp!

i own most of the swindlers cds and they all sound awsome and a little different but they should. if you can't enjoy all of there music then don't listen to them.

this cd is alright, although it could of had better songs and some of the not so good songs taken off of this cd, it was still pretty good. The original crystal meth is better than this one. i give it an average score of a 3 because i dont feel like giving anything better

Excellent compilation of the Daycare Swindler's career, it has a great mix of tracks from all of the Vile Beat albums, and some new tracks, including a demo version of Spy Vs. Spy, two brand new songs (Petrify and Paint It Black) and two remakes of fantastic songs (though I like the original version better these are still good), Heroin Beach and Crystal Meth. Daycare Swindlers are a fantastic band and this album is a great way for a new listener to find the albums they want since every album has such a range in style, any guitar or bass players who are fans of DCS or a huge group of other bands (ranging from Plan A Project to Kid Dynamite and about 26 other bands.)

A very good underground band with a great compilation of their work. Its got their best songs ranging from styles including hardcore and ska. Definately worth getting if you like DCS or any band on this website for that matter.
