Since the release of their first full length "Unraveling" nearly two years ago, Rise Against have wasted no time in getting their music out to the masses! Touring with the likes of Boy Sets Fire, Thursday, NOFX, Agnostic Front, TSOL, Casualties, Sick Of It All, Snapcase, and AFI, has enabled this Chicago four piece to truly hone their skills. After spending a few weeks laying the tracks down at the Blasting Room with Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore, the four piece re-emerged with an album that will surely perk your ears. The band's ability to marry hardcore intensity with melody is what sets them far ahead of the punk rock pack!

Everything these guys release is solid. This is no exception. Its not their best release in my opinion but its on par with the two major label releases. After listening I have no questions why they got signed to a major.

Best Rise Against CD by far. Lyrically brilliant, musically brilliant. This CD holds the Raw sound similar to the unravelling and combines great riffs, screams/vocals and the sheer emotion that makes Rise Against the band they are. If you're a first time Rise Against CD buyer, I suggest you buy this over the others so you can appreciate how good the band actually is.

Fantastic CD. Personally i think this is Rise Against's best work. Black Masks and Gasoline (The opening song on the CD) is awsome, it sets the tone for the rest of the album which is just as good. There is not one lesser song on the CD. The lyrics are meaningful and the music will grab and hold your attention. What else can i say, the CD is class.

OKILYDOKILY! If there is a band out there that is even half as good as Rise Against, I havent found them yet! Rise Against are easily the greatest band of all time, they are the nicest guys (i met em when they came down under earlier this year), they rock out like you wouldnt believe on stage and they can do no wrong in the studio.
Unfortunatly, my fuckhead sister ruined my original copy of this disc which is why i had to buy another but really, who cares, i can spare the expense for these lads!
This cd is undoubtadly in my top 5 of all time. Black masks and gasoline is one of the most fist clenchingly, heart rumblingly, jumping aroundingly, fuck yeahily songs ive ever heard and i havent stoped listening to this cd since i bought it way back on the day it was released!!!
Seriously you guys! If you want quality punk rock! RISE AGAINST ARE YOUR BOYS! Nobody else compares!
Ive said enough.
Smell Ya Later!

Simply because you can breathe, does it mean you're alive? Or that you really live? I don't know... does it? That is what Tim from Rise Against wants to know. But this album, you might just find out.

Anarcho punks be warned: Yes, they call themselves Rise Against, played the Death of a Nation Tour, and have an incendiary red-white-and-blue grenade on the cover of their album. But Pennywise they're not. "Revolutions Per Minute" is an archetypal Fat release, as anyone who has purchased one knows and anyone who purchases this one will soon discover. While the band does tend to rail and scream about Amerika and the system, quite a few other songs tend to deal with that unidentified "she" with no less irony. It's to the band's credit that they make both elements work; indeed, an album as fiery and passionate as this one is rare in today's market (flooded with, among other things, the major-label debut of Rise Against). Those listeners willing to put up with accounts of personal failure and rejection will find this release very rewarding. But if you like your punk music "serious", better stick to your Strike Anywhere.
