Converge

Long Road Home

Released on April 3, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

After over a year in the making, Deathwish is proud to announce the release of 'The Long Road Home' DVD, the first official DVD release from Converge. Modeled after the first (and arguably most successful) band home videos such as Metallica's 'Cliff Em' release, "The Long Road Home' is as energetic and exciting as the moments it captures. No frills, or crap, just a HUGE collection of fan footage from the bands decade long reign as kings of their genre. Deathwish have gone to great lengths to make this release the very best. All footage has been professionally edited, and mastered. The release is also lavishly packaged in deluxe digipak and slipcase packaging that will leave MANY in awe.

GOOD GOOD DVD. Really portrays the long road Converge took to get were they are now today. At first when you watch it, you wish more of the songs from "Jane Doe" were on there, but then you really start to appreciate the older records a lot more. I really like this DVD, it has some crazy shit in it. Also the bonus footage is really good too. Weird but really good, I reccomend getting this if you like Converge.

This DVD turned me on to Converge. I had purchased their albums a while back and I had heard of their exciting live shows but I still wasn't all that into them until this came along. This DVD captures the raw energy of their live shows and (dare-I-say) "emotion" of their songs. It just goes to show that energy and honesty is much more important than the music itself.

Bottom line, incredible band, incredible DVD. Buy it, or I will personally ride out to your house and make you watch it with toothpicks keeping your eyes open....HAH.

Great for any Converge fan.

This dvd had 3 hours of live mayhem. From that you may think that this dvd will become boring and just get too long. That's what i thought when i ordered it, but when i got home and popped this baby in, i realized i was wrong. Once it started, they played the saddest day and the first thing jacob did was jumped straight into the crowd, so if you like amazing shows, but don't mind the sound quality being low, then this is for you. The movie itself is about an hour and a half long but the bonus features include three full live sets and the video for dowpour. The live sets are sensational, my current favorite is the Deathwish/Bridge 9 festival show, the crowd couldn't stay in the crowd and it was complete chaos. This dvd is the most fun three hours you will ever spend watching a tv. Buy it now.

Lets face it, Converge can do no wrong. I think this dvd captures the intensity of hardcore rather well. Yes the footage is raw, but isn't the music supposed to be "by the kids, for the kids" ? The Concubine performance is definitely the most chaotic crowd shot, and the "Love as Arson" clip brings back memories of going to the Euclid Tavern to see some awesome shows. However, I thought that the live sets could have been alot better, plus what about the video for Concubine ?

This isn't so great, I guess Converge is pretty good, but this whole video is just cheap, super cheap home videos, which makes it all cool and DIY, but there's nothing you want t owatch more than once, or even for the first time. Awesome case though heh.

This DVD is so fucking punk rock and DIY it brings a smile to my face. Converge are keeping it real to make up for how damn terribly over run with awful bands this scene has really become. You know the drill, kids. It's Jacob Bannon and the Converge boys doing what they do best. Rockin' it out song after song. This DVD truely captures and raw energy of Converge. Essential. Buy this.

This is the stuff. I bought this pretty excited knowing that Converge is one of the best hardcore bands out there and this is 3 hours long. When I got it I watched it and it's intense. It starts out with The Saddest Day and it's all little clips all put into one video. The rest is live footage around the world, filmed by fans. On most of them the sound quality is ok to good. The visual quality is good on all of them. Jacob Bannon is the man and Converge sounds great live on all of it. The craziest one is "conduit" in Rhode Island. If you flip it over there is 3 full sets, yes, three whole sets. If you like Converge a little bit this is really worth buying, it's less than 20 bucks and 3 hours. If you're into Converge you probably already got this. I'm done, bye.
