“Dragging the Lake II” is the second in a series of low dough compilations brought to you by SideOneDummy Records and Atticus Clothing. Once again, Atticus clothing (owned by Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus & Tom Delonge) and SideOneDummy have pulled together a virtual who’s who of today’s Punk, Emo & Post Hardcore superstars. “Dragging the Lake II” features previously unreleased tracks from Dropkick Murphy’s, Lagwagon, Finch, Sparta, and a hard to find track from Blink 182 (bonus track from the limited first pressing of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket). Also included is an unreleased live version of “Crawl” by Alkaline Trio from their recent BBC sessions. Other stand out
artists include: Jets To Brazil (Jade Tree), Rocket From The Crypt (Vagrant), Hot Water Music (Epitaph), Dillinger Four (FAT), and The Transplants (featuring Tim Armstrong from Rancid & Travis Barker from Blink 182).

This CD is pretty kick ass. I really like the traks from Hot Rod Circuit, Maxeen, Lagwagon, Taking Back Sunday, and Jets to Brazil. But there are some shitty songs also.

well, this CD had some good and some bad. There are some great bands on there, such as Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio (a great live version of Crawl), and others, however there were a whole lot of bad bands as well, as there will be with any major clothing company's compilation, such as Blink 182 (shudder) and Boxcar Racer (another shudder). Unfortunately there is some bad with this good, but overall, most of the bands on it are pretty good.

This cd was really worth the 8 bucks. 26 songs and almost all of them i thought were really good songs. The Lagwagon song was pretty weak, and really dissapointed me, and the Jets to Brazil song did too. The opening song "I'm not Invisible" was really good i thought. My favorite song by far is "Fields of Athenry" by DKM. You could really go through the entire cd without skipping any songs if you have some tolerance for a few bad songs. The good far outweighs the bad on this record.

Just like volume one of Atticus this one also kicks ass! its a great mix, and extremly talented bands. I definatley recommend this cd, if you like the first one you should like this one because this one has a greater mix and better bands. The best are Further Seems Forever and Taking Back Sunday! Check it out!
