Wow! I think this is Chris from Lawrence Arms here playing some great songs. I was so surprised by the disc. The guy really reminds me of Blake from Jets to Brazil vocal wise. I love this CD and hope it gets a vinyl release too someday. Check it out!

If you are a Lawrence Arms fan, this is a nice little gem to add to one's collection. If you're into solo acoustic music, this is a good buy.
Chris McCaughan is one of the best song writers in the current punk scene. This album proves it, even if it's acoustic.

I love the lawrence arms so i bought this as soon as it came out.... At first i thought all of the songs kind of sounded the same and it was a bit boring. But i guess i just had to be in the mood. Now, i love most of the songs and i'm so glad i bought it!!

THREE AND A HALF STARS HERE. I personally am not into a lot of acoustic acts. but being a huge fan of the lawrence arms, well.. i had to buy this didnt i. chris has an incredible voice that has changed over time. Its not quite at my favorite point on this album. i much prefer the desperation in his singing in TLA songs. But for me this is nice, and its different and just a cool chill cd. EVERY TLA FAN SHOULD OWN THIS. Along with the works of the falcon, the broadways, slapstick and tricky dick.
Cheers people.

an amazing solo release from chris. if you enjoy chris's insightful and poetic lyrics, you will love this album. not quite as rocking as the arms, but a fun listen all the same. expect cello, keys, and acoustic with amazing backing vocals from jenny choi from sanawon. you will not be disappointed. standout tracks are steal your words, sea of lights, and endless miles...you should own this already.

Definitely different than what I was expecting, but I ended up loving this CD. Chris has really written some beautiful songs on this CD and seemed to make the acoustic genre a lot more interesting. I'm a die-hard Broadways/Lawrence Arms/Chris&Brendan fan anyway, so in my opinion this is an essential album. Buy it now!!

No real surprises here. Pretty much what you think this is gonna sound like, it does..... I think the singer sings in another band or something. He sounds familiar.

Great album. The more I listen, the more I love it. I've always really liked Chris' voice and it really sounds great here. Fans of The Lawrence Arms, I'm sure will love this, but I think this will gain fans of people who don't even listen to Chris' other bands.
My favorite tracks: Steal Your Words, This War Is Noise, Endless Miles, Midsummer Classic, 100 Resolutions.

Chris McCaughan is very soulful and he makes me smile. the alternate versions of "boatless booze cruise" and "100 resolutions" are great for all the lawrence arms fans like myself. Chris is just an awsome song writer.
