It’s not easy to separate yourself from the pack when you’re in a genre cluttered with
copy-cat bands who are just looking to imitate the current popular trend or fad. To stand
out today, you have to be truly special. You have to be different and your music needs to
contain an undeniable message that people want to be aprt of. Dangerkids is that band.
In a competitive climate they’ve quickly risen to the top, well on their way to becoming
the “Next Big Thing”. Vocally there’s something for everyone; there’s singing, there’s
screaming and there’s even rapping. Musically there are heavy breakdowns, electronic
beats, pop choruses and overall an undeniable amount of anthemic melodies that fans
will quickly gravitate to. It’s an ambitious task to attempt to mix and blend all of these
elements into something new and refreshing, but that is exactly what Dangerkids
managed to accomplish with “Collapse”, their debut full length.
The band’s new and exciting sounds quickly caught the ear of Fly South Management
(Paramore, A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens) and booking agent Dave Shapiro
at The Agency Group (A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, The
Devil Wears Prada). Rise Records also took notice and quickly signed the band. In that
time Dangerkids has toured the US countless times, most recently in support of Sleeping
With Sirens on their last headline run, where the band picked up hoards of new fans,
winning kids over with their energetic, hard-hitting live show. Dangerkids will hit the road
this fall supporting We Came As Romans.
Dangerkids has a bright future, and strong rapidly expanding fan-base, who are
anxiously awaiting the debut full length album. Once you see the band live or hear the
record it becomes clear that they are a force to be reckoned with.
