It's very rare, but every now and then there's a band that helps define a genre. Their albums become
the blueprint and their live show becomes the example. Innovation is rare, but its scarcity is also what
makes it so exciting, for many it's the closest one can feel to revolution. The current hardcore scene
wouldn't be what it is today without Poison The Well. Their first two full lengths "The Opposite of
December" and "Tear From The Red" are the albums that changed the game, not only for the players
but also for the fans. Both albums went on to sell over 80,000 (160,000 combined) a feat that over 10
years ago was close to impossible for an experimental hardcore band. They pretty much invented the
"screamo /metalcore" genre.
These 2 records changed everything for hardcore, and they still hold up today. They've been out of
print for the last 7 years, Rise Records has taken over the rights of both of these classics and are
re-releasing them so they can live on forever. Rise is releasing them together for the first time ever.
You'll be able to get all 19 songs together in one release, re-mastered with all new deluxe packaging.
This deluxe re-release is a must for existing fans of the band as well as people who are looking to
check them out now for the first time.
