This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Here's a shot in the eye from the troubled minds of some Indiana youngsters. Mass Giorgini, the engineer responsible for producing such gems as the Queers, Screeching Weasel, and the Riverdales, stars in this hard candy pop punk group. This is mischievous tuneage from the minds that brought us Rattail Grenadier.

--and why did i buy this you ask? i'm not quite sure, but it has nothing to do with the fact that their is an endless suppy of pop-punk clones these days. these guys hail back to a time when pop-punk was a breath of fresh air, not original of course, but it was refreshing nonetheless. they are just another branch of the 'screechingweasel-queers-riverdale-lillington-ramoneish' network that has since spawned multitudes of shameless imitators of these shameless imitators.

--but why the hell did i buy it? squirtgun has a quirky style, coupled with crooned warbly-sung songs that cause a surge spastic joy within me. to back up the silliness, they occasionally write songs with sharp social critique. but in the end i still love carefree songs about 'welcome back kotter' and field trips on sunny afternoons. i guess it helps me regurgitate whatever bit of nostalgia i hold.

light-hearted, fun, but not too original. -garrett
