Rocky Loves Emily has spent the last three years living what their vision for the American Dream is: traveling around the country, making
friends, and playing music that brings joy to people’s hearts. Formed in 2009 in a suburb of Detroit, Rocky Loves Emily quickly gained
momentum and signed to Tooth & Nail Records, releasing their EP “American Dream” with the help of producer Casey Bates (Chiodos,
Pierce the Veil, Foxy Shazam). The resulting five songs were accessible, lively, and fun, inspired by good-time rock ‘n’ roll and even a little
bit of country.
Rocky Loves Emily’s debut full-length release “Secrets Don’t Make Friends,” produced by Matt Grabe (The Maine, The Summer Set), is
the perfect follow up to the “American Dream” EP. The band found success playing self-booked tours and becoming featured in Hot Topic
stores around the country, where they performed exclusive acoustic shows. Their success continues with features in Alternative Press,
Absolutepunk.net, and others. “Secrets Don’t Make Friends” is a refreshing take on pop-rock that exudes infectious joy.
