Hailing from Oakland, California is Wild Hunt, a metal band Hailing f
poised for the release of their debut full-length album, “Before
the Plane of Angles” (Spring 2012). This conceptual piece offers
up a wide musical spectrum, intuitively blending a number of
metal sub-genres with elusive, sonic textural overlays.

Though established in 2004, Wild Hunt formed a decisive
line-up in 2009, enlisting Greg Brace and Drew Cook on guitars,
West Lenz on bass, and Harland Burkhart on drums and vocals.
Brace, Cook, and Burkhart constitute three-fourths of
Dimesland, another metal group, also from Oakland. Drawing
on the influences of various art mediums and musical forms to
the point where all become facets, Wild Hunt have developed a
sound that is inherently their own. With a further goal to sound th
provide an emphasis on atmosphere, the palpable harmonic
structure of their sound conjures a sense of place inside its
defiant clarion call.

dual-guitar lines, blast beat drumming, and twisted, cathartic
