The mark of a good album to me is replayability. So far I've listened to Retreat! dozens of times and keep finding something new. The music reminds me somewhat of propagandhi with their politically ground lyrics, but there is a slight metal feel to some songs (which I like).
My favorite songs are flavor of the week, sweet irony of the market, sign of the times, and retreat.
Generally, this is just an awesome album. I love hearing local bands getting it right and DC Fallout did that here. When the bro chant kicked in towards the end of the title track I knew this was an album that really stood out.
I recommend Retreat! if you enjoy Propagandhi, Bad Religion, This is a Standoff, and other similar bands.

Awesome CD. Seriously, can't stop listening to it. A refreshing blend of politically conscious and charged lyrics with the type of punk rock I love. Can definitely hear influences of Bad Religion, NoFX, Propagandhi, A Wilhelm Scream, This is a Standoff, old Death By Stereo, and other similarly rocking bands.
Seriously impressed with this outfit. When you consider this is their first album and that their lineup is relatively new, all the more impressive. Can't wait to see what else comes out from this group. Can't wait to make the trek to Chicago to see them in a couple weeks.
Refreshing to see a band making music they clearly love with some political fervor. Beats the pants off much of what's out there. Killer album. Personal fav songs: Sign of the Times, Polarize, Flavor of the Weak, The Sweet Irony of the Market, Retreat!. Yeah, that's like half the album, but it's a really good album.
Buy it, you'll be happy you did.
