Bars

Introducing...

(Ex Members Of Give Up The Ghost And Hope Conspiracy)

Equal Vision 101

Released on October 19, 2004

$11.75

Introducing… BARS, formed by individuals steeped in hardcore/punk history, the band has offered up an album that is a stripped-down, sonic onslaught. The debut is laden with a pissed-off rock n’ roll swagger that is as pummeling as it is catchy. Regardless of perspective or expectations, BARS make rock n’ roll, and make it explode.

No other band puts the rock n’ roll back in the scene better than the BARS. Introducing… is the revival of 80’s punk and hardcore. Fans will soon be searching out Black Flag and Discharge to see what they were missing and thanking the BARS.

This is straight up hardcore in the vein of Ruiner and Modern Life Is War and Killing The Dream and Give Up The Ghost. There needs to be more of this and less crap like Atreyu. This is real hardcore...Not assholes in eyeliner who look like Hot Topic models. I love the lyrics to this too and the look of the packaging and CD. All in all this CD just kicks ass. Anyone whos into old real hardcore will love this shit

This cd is pretty good. I enjoy every song on here although it does get kinda repeatative at times. Still worth the buy. Definately for the fans of Suicide File type sound.

These songs are really catchy. Get stuck in your head for days. If you like social distortion, black flag, and the hope conspiracy you should check this out.

As a fan of hardcore, metal, punk, and everything inbetween I felt good listening to this album. It has the old school feel that makes me think Black Flag yet new and refreshing. I was a bit uneasy at first having only heard one song from the album when I bought it, but I have to admit it was worth it. Probably the best new album I've heard in quite a while.

This is a great CD. Jarrod Alexander is amazing on this record and shows hints of his brilliance. It's got pretty good lyrics, rolling bass lines and nice guitar work to boot.

This CD is a little repetitive, but all in all the style is fucking awesome. I'm sure if i saw these guys live it would probably be bumped up to a 4.

For those who love Hope Conspiracy and Give up the Ghost, and any Hardcore for that matter, I think you will enjoy Bars' new album "introducing..." For the most part, all the songs are excellent. There's really only a couple songs that are sub-par. So, if you like Hope Con. vocals with an old-school hardcore sound, then I really think you'll enjoy this album. If you buy this cd, get ready to dance dance dance.

Wow this cd was a lot better than I thought it would be. It has members from Give Up The Ghost & The Hope Conspiracy. Two awesome bands. It has the singer from HC. Its pretty old school record, so if you don't like The Suicide File, or any other old school hardcore then you wouldn't like this. It has a touch of old school and newer style. It's an awesome record. If you like Give Up The Ghost or The Hope Conspiracy then this is a must buy. The only thing that I would say is a downside about this record, is that its too short, but thats just how old school is really.
