Green Day

Warner Bros / Wea 46046.1

Released on October 10, 1995

Green Day's second major label album full length, released in 1994 is a bit of a departure from their poppy punk back catalog; it showcases the band trading in their sugary sweet hooks for a heavier approach, while still retaining their patented sound. Artwork by Winston Smith (Dead Kennedys).

Classic record and good to see on vinyl. Great Green Day hits from their better years. I really don't care much for the new material, American Idiot and beyond, so it was good to see this get some attention. Fav song: 86 and Brainstew

My favorite Green Day album of all time, an absolutely flawless record. As one of my favorite records as a kid, I needed to get this on vinyl. The only thing that bothers me is the ridiculous price that Reprise is charging for this and for any Green Day vinyl for that matter. For 20 bucks, I was expecting a lot more. The vinyl is straight black and there's nothing for an insert other than a lyric sheet. I was expecting a big fold out poster of the awesome artwork, like the original CD, but nothing. Awesome music for way too much money.

Green Day saved my life! JK. I bought 39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie, and Insomniac over a decade ago, and now again this year. They aren't the same band now, but back in the day, they helped me find my ultimate passion: music. I actually bought these albums just to put on my wall and not open, but I'm wondering what the 7"s look like...
