Tsunami Bomb

The Definitive Act

Kung Fu 78831

Released on September 21, 2004

"The Definitive Act" is an innovative collection of Tsunami Bomb’s signature melodic, alluring and engaging punk rock anthems. “Dawn Of A Funeral Day” showcases the more angular, dynamic side of the group, while “5150” spotlights Agent M’s seamless vocal delivery, counteracted by aggressive backing responses and the smartly-composed guitar leads of Griffen. The straightforward “A Lonely Chord” offers M’s flourishing multi-part chorus harmonies, punctuated by the driving drum fills of Lindeman and the moody “Epic” changes course at the drop of a hat, including breakdowns driven by the melodic bass lines of McKenzie, eventually tapering off with fragile guitar pickings.

Equal parts introspective and propulsive, soothing and charging, The Definitive Act is, to date, Tsunami Bomb’s most varied and finest effort, building upon a remarkable spectrum of the band’s history of vibrant compositions. And as far as straddling the line of melodic and musical, yet powerful and persuasive, The Definitive Act simply furthers Tsunami Bomb’s trailblazing presence in a field of one.

“I think that when you’re not part of the stereotype, you’ll get a little bit more attention,” M says. “I just wanted to have good, solid melodies and also try and develop my own style over the years.”

I like this cd. She is a very talented singer that does not use the fact that she is a girl as a popularity stunt.

I bought the cd to finish up the Tsunami Bomb set, its pretty good but not as good as "Invasion From Within " or "The Ultimate Escape". Dont buy this unless your right into woman vocals set over dark pop punk music, or ie. Tsunami Bomb

To tell you the truth...I have always been a huge Tsunami Bomb fan, and their first two records were amazing...but The Definitive Act does not impress me. For some reason I feel like they could have done a beeter job on this record. I don't like the production on this album either. The Ultimate Escape was done much better. My only tracks I like on this record are Dawn On A Funeral Day, Being Alright, and A Lonely Chord.

If you're a new Tsunami Bomb fan...don't buy this release.Buy "The Ultimate Escape".

Wow this cd blew me away. I already had Ultimate Escape and the Invasion from Within and they were pretty good, but this is way way better. My Machete is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Agent M's vocals sound awesome and the guitars on the album are really good.I'm just amazed this band isn't on a bigger records label for the success they seem to have. This cd rocks buy it....

What a great CD. I think Tsunami Bomb are defiantly getting better and better with each album that they make. Agent M's vocals sound prefect on this one and the lyrics are all top notch. This CD has some more mellow songs compared to their earlier stuff but it allows the songs to be more melodic and to be a lot more personal lyric-wise, that and those songs still rock anyway so I have no problem with it and neither should you. This is just full of great songs from Dawn Of A Funeral Day all the way down to Jigsaw so I'd defiantly say this CD is one of the best albums released in 2004. That is all..

Wow! This is a great CD ! Of course, it is much different from their past releases. Some songs are slower, others are just as fast as what you're used to. Not generic punk like the ultimate escape, this is more like a collection of different sounds and textures. Agent M's voice is very well captured on the record, she has matured and sings very good. The lyrics are quite interesting to read and you can relate easily to them. Definitely worth checking out

Not a bad album.I've been a fan since day one and the band has changed a lot. They've deffinatly mellowed out and slowed down. But, Agent M's vocals haven't really changed.I figured they would get better.I gonna give this a 4 star because their previous release were much better and I know they can play better music. They put on a kick ass live show also.Key Track:Dawn on a Funeral Day, I Bought You, Four Robots and an Evil Scientist and My Mechete.

Unlike the person b4 me, I think tsunami bomb continues to get better and grow. I'm also a huge fan, for about 4 years, and I didn’t think it was a disappointment. Great album, its sad b/c right after this came out mike left the band, but they will continue to rock.

im like the biggest tb fan out there. i have all there releases including mayhem on the high seas, and b-movie queens. and ever since the invasion from within, theyve just been getting suckier and suckier. this is still a great album, but a dissipointment for old fans.
