Vagrant 536

Released on April 14, 2009

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Influenced by everything from old school metal to current pop artists, the band is showing us that there is still some originality left in song writing. Using a combination of metallic thrash riffs and infectious pop hooks, the band has created a unique blend of pop rock. Some might call it emo, some might call it pop, some even think it’s metal. But whatever you call it, the songs will stick in your head for days upon listening.

Gill from North Shore City, New Zealand
May 10 2009 Rating: 5/5 Stars

First off, the item description does not give this CD any justice at all.

The only thing I agree with about it is that this band is very hard to categorize under a specific genre. I suppose if pushed, I would say Post-Hardcore or Alt. Metal. This band used to lean very closely to Metalcore/Melodic Hardcore (which sometimes reminded me of Misery Signals). With this release, they seemed to have kept that base to their music, but they've also added elements of pop-punk, powerpop and electronica.

There's been a lot of debate about this, a lot of people are claiming Fact to have sold out. And, well, I don't deny that, and I generally don't agree when a band changes their sound to seemingly appeal.

But if they did, selling out has never sounded so good.
