Green Day always puts out solid material and the long wait for this one was worth it. Look past how overplayed Blvd of Broken Dreams is (Holiday is coming pretty close to being over played too) and just pick this up if you dont have it. 100% grade A music here.

This is Greenday's best cd. It's very well written and has a great flow to it. BIllie Joe has done his best work to date on this album. If your burnt out on Kerplunk and Dookie and looking for something new and diffrent buy this cd.

Well Jesus from Suburbia please help me! but I´ll give this album 5 fat starts even though that new single Boulevard of Broken Dreams sounds like an Oasis song, and the video looks like an emo-gothic band(but wait? fuck videos!) I liked it...it´s Walking Alone part 2 man, classic Green Day song writing...American Idiot was quite all right, and along with St. Jimmy sounded so Dookie Style, the whole album was great...it´s a story,a concept album...don´t get me wrong this ain´t no fuckin´Rob Halford Rock Opera kind of shit that talks about the passion of the christ... it´s a great story perfectly connected check this song as highlights Jesus of Suburbia...(the whole fucking thing) We´re coming home again and Holiday....damn awesome Green Day songs...don´t expect the old Green Day song writing about masturbation and girls beatin´the shit out of guys...this is good song writin´a great evolution in music and stuff..Green Day one of the few bands like changed for good...I think it´s the only one...buy it you don´t will get down for sure pendejos trust me cabrones lo digo yo el pipiripau!!!!!

Another few years... Another Green Day CD. In all honesty when I first listened to this CD I HATED it. It initially came off as slow, dull, and boring. Where did the old Green Day go? The band that sang about masturbation and played break neck speed punk rock?
Well.. apparently they are still here... They have just changed their focus a bit. After listening to this CD a few more times, it is apparent that while Green Day have changed over the years so ahs their idea of what actual music is. This CD turned out to be a GREAT slab of music, not the old school punk rock youd expect from these guy but a more refined brand of melodic pop rock which is the way they have been going for the last few albums anyhow...
Overall, this is a good CD. Music is well written and performed, and melodic and catchy as Green Day ever was. In short if you ar elooking for a true punk rock record, dont bother, but if youre looking for well played rock music, this is it.

This is probably one of the best Green Day albums to be released and is a great follow up to the hugely disappointing Shenanigans. Jesus of Suburbia is just amazing and Boulevard of Broken Dreams is a great example of Green Day's mellower sound. Really recommend people to buy this CD or even better the special edition one, I'm going to buy me both hopefully. I also think its great how each of the songs contribute to the story of the CD, very good album, very good band, enough said.

This is maybe the best Green Day cd yet. Jesus of Suburbia is a great 5 part song with awesome instrumental parts. Boulevard of Broken dreams is another favorite. I highly recommend this Cd. Very impressive for a band who released the bad "Shenanigans" cd. Buy this Now!!

Hands down one of the best cd's ever created. Billie Joe is a musical genius, and this just proves the point that they can go away for 4 years and come back and blow everything else out of the water. If you didnt know, this punk opera follows the story of Jesus of Suburbia through the hardships he faces trying to find himself. The song aptly named after the main character is definately a stand out track, stretching over about 9 minutes and consisting of five parts. This is definately different than anything else Green Day has done, but its simply amazing. My favorite Green Day cd is still "Nimrod", but this one comes very close. Pure Genius!!!
