Throw Rag

2nd Place

Acetate AR27031

Released on June 10, 2008

2nd Place? That's the spirit... Despite the album title, this is Throw Rag's finest work to date, a rabble rousing collection of anthems direct from California's Salton Sea... and with ace producer Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Motorhead) at the helm, this ship is built for speed.

I'm late in the game when it comes to Throwrag. All it took for me to get into this band was a buddy of mine's myspace page had a song 'HANG UP'(which a version of is on this CD!) as his profile song...and I WAS HOOKED! I had to check out this band. Now, after reading the last issue of RAZORCAKE! I discovered that most of these songs were recorded 6 years ago, however BYO records thought the production is over the top??? So if you own both of the BYO records release...I would HIGHLY consider buying this CD too. I actually perfer some of their songs better on this realease (such as "Hang Up",etc). And if you really want to get hooked on this band...BUY THEIR LIVE AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES DVD on Kung Fu Records.
