this time around, with a full-length album, ASD have changed things up a bit. they have found a new vocalist in that of some guy named "Jag," who has extremely high vocals, and become more melodic musically. when considering Jag's vocal stylings, one is reminded of bands like Coheed And Cambria, Pierce The Veil, and even a little bit of the frontman from The Darkness. this band strays from their previous effort in that it is less "mall metalcore" and more "pop-punk/rock." all in all, an enjoyable listen.

This album is perhaps the largest conglamoration of punk/underground music I've ever heard. I couldn't say whether it is metalcore with a strong emo influence or vice versa. But it is definitely emo, with screamo, and even death metal growls. It is atmospheric, emotional, over the top and difficult to take seriously. I ask myself often if I'm too old to listen to stuff like this. Regardless I like it. Their are probably teenagers out there that would think this album is pure gold. My only real issue is that all the songs are short, as is the whole album, but it doesn't seem to detract from it's overall completeness.

The. Best. CD. In. Existence. 'Nuff said. The music is hard and perfect... not a single rhythm or note that I disagree with. Not nearly as much screaming as their first album, but I thought it had too much anyways. And Jag is the best vocalist alive.
